After a morning at the beach, swimming, surfing or whale watching you can relax for the afternoon as it is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and across the road from the local cricket oval used for dog walking which also has a children's playground. The property has a single lockup garage and off-street parking for a second vehicle.
The local bus service runs at the end of the street for those who don't want to take their car to Byron Bay or Ballina. The festival buses stop here too.
A front outdoor entertaining area has table seating for six, a Weber gas barbecue and large cantilever umbrella for extra shade.
Extensive gardens with hedges, trees and lawn areas provide privacy and uninterrupted sea breezes across the oval provide coolness. Ceiling fans in ever every room and a combination of plantation shutters and tiled or bamboo floors also keep the house cool. Reverse cycle air conditioning is also available but seldom needs to be used.
The house is children and dog friendly with fully fenced paved side and rear courtyard garden areas with many kitchen herbs as well as lemons, limes and Passionfruit when in season.
The laundry has a washing machine, and iron and ironing board and provides doggie access to the gardens and the lock up garage via a doggie door and is suitable for small dogs when you want to leave them while at the beach. Beach umbrella and a boogie board are available for use.
A hot and cold outdoor shower outside the laundry makes it easy to wash off sand after a morning at the beach and can be used as a dog wash with the removable shower hose fitting
The main bedroom has a queen size bed and an ensuite while the second and third bedrooms share a second bathroom and toilet and can be zoned separately from the main bedroom/lounge area. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third has a trundle bed which can be used as two singles. All have ample built in robes and all linen is provided.
The second bathroom has a hair dryer, a separate shower, and a bath for those who like a relaxing soak.
The main lounge area seats six and has a 50 inch Samsung smart TV, BluRay/DVD player, Yamaha Sound System, Fetch set top box with movie library and Premium Kids channel, Unlimited WiFi broadband and Free High Definition Netflix for unlimited movies. 6 people can access the unlimited WiFi simultaneously and different TV programs or movies can be watched at the same time on HD Netflix in the separate sunroom/lounge on a second smart TV which also has internet access for ABC IView and SBS on demand.
A small workstation/desk off the lounge area has a laser printer which can be useful for those who can't entirely escape the office.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, ceramic cooktop, Fridge, Delonghi Nespresso coffee machine, four slice toaster, microwave and a dishwasher. Crockery, glassware and cutlery are provided as are cooking utensils and cookware.
Linen and towels are supplied in all of our holiday homes for 14 nights. If the booking exceeds 14 nights additional fees will apply on top of the quoted price as fresh linen will be delivered and the existing linen will be removed.
